Happy Halloween!

Are nutter butters and ding dongs a common trick-or-treat gift? While Michael was at the store this Saturday picking up candy and dinner for us, we got a storm of little kids ringing our doorbell. This was unusual since last year we had a whole 1 kid show up to our house wanting candy. So, while I patiently waited for the hubby to bring the well-needed supplies, all of the little kiddies got anything I could find in our pantry. Luckily, Mike and my sister came just in time to finish off the heard of little ones we got begging for candy. At one point I thought we had more than enough to go around, so I offered the kiddies to "take a handful". Apparently I have to redefine handful since one girl (who just happened to need to get a second handful for her baby cousin) seriously pulled out 20-30 candy bars from our bowl in her "1" handful. Goodness! And of course we only get the good stuff, so that little girl made out like a bandit!!

Michael and I also carved pumpkins in a record 5 mins to put out on our front stairs. There are two for the little puppies, one each for mike and myself, and Auntie Elizabeth and Uncle Rick brought over their huge pumpkin. Too Cute :-)
