6 Weeks, 0 Days

The hubby and I talked overnight about when and how we should tell everyone the exciting news about Baby Sprout. Because we are so early in to the pregnancy and the risks are still high we decided only to tell a couple of people the news and will wait to share with the world until the end of my first trimester (aka, Thanksgiving). First call, Mom and Daddy Chris! When we told them they were going to be grandparents my mom's scream of excitement took over the phone and couldn't hear anything either of them was saying. They put a smile on our faces and we were even more excited to tell the rest of our parents. Next call, Daddy Frank. We tried to 3-way call him initially, but the technotragic person that I am couldn't get it to work. So he got his own call. When we broke the news to Daddy Frank his reaction was happy and "about time. I was expecting this for a while." Hey, I guess it's better than a "oh" reaction. Hahah! Finally, Michael and I made our last phone call to his side of the family and 4-people on the speakerphone later, we couldn't hear anything that they were saying. By the shrieks and clamor we took it as a good reaction. My little sister Elizabeth and bro-in-law Rick were the last to find out, as we made them drive over to our house at 8pm after she just had a long day at school. They were both convinced that we asked them over to play a game called "Loaded Questions", but nope! Instead of telling them, we showed them the copy of the lab report that clearly stated Sprout's presence in the first 2 sentences. My sister is oober excited and was ready to decorate the nursery!

While all of the fam was crazy over the news, no one was excited about our decision to wait to tell the rest of the world. In fact, we heard a ton of whining in the background from everyone. I can understand their pain, especially since Michael and I kept it to ourselves for a whole 2-DAYS!  Good Luck peeps on keeping it for the next 8 weeks!

Sorry for those that are catching up on the news, but so happy to share it with you even if it's a couple of weeks later!
